Jubilate Uniform Information and Instructions

In order to offer a professional and non-distracting presentation when we sing, Jubilate always performs in one of three basic uniforms:

  • Black Jubilate T-Shirt (usually worn with jeans or shorts)
  • Red Liturgical Robe (with white collar and red cincture; treble choir only)
  • Black and Red Concert Dress (black chinos, white emblem shirt, red vest)

The total uniform cost for each singer comes to around $180 (the price varies depending on size). The costume fee paid by each entering Jubilate family only partially covers this expense. Jubilate subsidizes the rest of the cost through our fundraising efforts. We also try to keep our (and your) total uniform cost down by reusing as many items as we can when singers move on or change sizes.

Tenor/Baritone Choir Members Only – Our young men in the baritone choir do not wear the liturgical robe. Instead, when the treble choir performs in the robe, we ask that the tenors and baritones wear their own white, long-sleeve, button-down shirt and black chino pants (or they may borrow their Jubilate black pants) with a red tie provided by Jubilate. We assume most of these singers will have these items already, as they have probably needed them for other performances. Please let us know if acquiring these items will be a problem for your singer.

For your convenience, Jubilate orders all uniform items through our suppliers. We order the T-shirt according to the size on your singer’s registration form, and take measurements during rehearsal for the liturgical robe. However, we need assistance from you in order to place an accurate order for the black and red concert dress uniform. We would appreciate your help in measuring and sizing your child in the ways noted on the attached form. Website information is included to help you with this task.

Please complete this form this week, and submit it at the beginning of next week's rehearsal.

Thanks in advance for your help,
