Musical Director: David Crone

David Crone is in his tenth season as music director of the Pro Arte Chorale. In addition to Pro Arte Chorale's own concert series each season, he has prepared the chorus for appearances including the NJPAC Family Time Series, performances with the New Jersey Symphony Orchestra and recently with the Westfield Symphony Orchestra.

Maestro Crone has served as Director of Artistic Education at the Boys Choir of Harlem and is currently the Director of Choral Studies at Monroe-Woodbury High School in New York State.

Crone often appears as a guest conductor, accompanist and clinician at choral festivals and conferences throughout the tri-state area. His passion for performing also extends into the jazz community with appearances as a jazz pianist.

He holds a doctoral degree from Seton Hall University, a Master of Music degree in Conducting from Temple University and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Jazz Composition from Berklee College of Music.

Steven Wing, Assistant Musical Director and Accompanist

Steven Wing is currently a choral director at Monroe-Woodbury Middle School.

He holds a bachelor's degree in music education from Crane School of Music at SUNY Potsdam and a master's degree from SUNY at Fredonia in composition/music theory.

Chorus Manager: Anne Barker

Anne is a classically trained soloist recently relocated to Warwick from Omaha, Nebraska. Locally, she has appeared at various events at Christ Church, Warwick and as a participant in the Warwick Historical Society's Harvest to Holly Candlelight Tour. Ms. Barker's recital repertoire includes Wedding Cantata (Pinkham), La Regata Veneziana (Rossini), The Blessed Virgin's Expostulation (Purcell), Mass in G (Shubert) and Fanny Hensel's Liederkreis, as well as various arias and songs by Mozart, Bach, Faure, Mahler, Sondheim and Rodgers & Hammerstein.

In addition to her performance credits, Ms. Barker has previously collaborated with Dr. Crone as the chorus manager for both the Children's Festival Choir (premiered at the 2003 Warwick Summer Arts Festival) and the Christ Church Children's Choir.

Anne has lived in Warwick for four years. She is employed as the Clinical Social Worker for Warwick Valley Middle School and maintains a small private psychotherapy practice in Florida, NY.

Father J. Scott Barker
Rector: Father J. Scott Barker

Our Rector is Fr. J. Scott Barker. Fr. Barker was previously the Rector of the Episcopal Church of the Resurrection in Omaha, Nebraska and Program Director of Resurrection House, a nationally recognized program for young adult vocational discernment in Christian community which he helped found. He has also served as Chaplain of the Brownell-Talbot School, a private Episcopal Day School in Omaha and as Canon Assistant to the Dean at Omaha's Trinity Cathedral.

Fr. Barker graduated in 1985 with a BA in religious studies from Yale College in New Haven, Connecticut, and in 1992 from the Berkeley Divinity School at Yale with a M. Div. in Anglican Studies. He was the recipient that year of two awards: the Tweedy Prize awarded to a senior demonstrating exceptional promise for pastoral leadership and the Mersick Prize awarded to a senior demonstrating exceptional preaching skills. Father Barker's sermons have been published in the Morehouse Press Sermons that Work series. He is married and has two children.
