David Crone is director of choral studies at Monroe-Woodbury High School and has been music director of the Pro Arte Chorale in NJ since 1989. In 2009 he made his European conducting debut as part of the Liverpool Capital of Culture Festival, followed by a performance at Liverpool’s Anglican Cathedral. He holds a doctorate from Seton Hall University, a master’s of music in conducting from Temple University and a BA in jazz composition from Berklee College of Music.
Crone’s passion for performing extends into the jazz community with regular appearances as a jazz pianist. Crone is often a guest conductor, accompanist and clinician at choral festivals and conferences throughout the tri-state area.
Steven Wing has appeared as guest conductor and accompanist at All-County and Area All-State choral festivals throughout New York State. Wing serves as Conductor of the Intermediate Chorus at the OCMEA Summer Institute. He is a distinguished member of the Monroe-Woodbury Middle School music faculty, where he is the Director of the Chamber Chorus, which received a “Gold with Distinction” rating at the 2009 NYSSMA Major Festival.
Wing holds a Masters of Music in Composition/Music Theory from the Fredonia School of Music at SUNY Fredonia and a Bachelors of Music in Music Education from the Crane School of Music at SUNY Potsdam.
Steven has appeared in NYC as singer/songwriter and musical director, and performs regularly in the Lower Hudson Valley and in the Catskills.
Anne Barker is a classically-trained vocal soloist and licensed clinical social worker. A resident of Warwick since 2002, she is the school social worker for Warwick Valley Middle School. She has extensive training and experience in the areas of psychotherapy, child development, and group dynamics and facilitation.
Ms. Barker is an accomplished and versatile performer. Locally she has appeared in Bravi Tutti!, Jubilate’s 2008 gala opera event, at various liturgical events at Christ Church and twice as a participant in the Warwick Historical Society’s Harvest to Holly Candlelight Tour.
Barbara Welch has taught voice for more than 30 years, in NYC and in Warwick. She has shared her love of music locally with children since 1988, and since 1997 has assisted Nick DiLeo and David Crone in vocal preparation of Warwick Valley High School drama club musicals.
Barbara holds a BA in Music and an MA in Music in Voice from The Catholic University of America. She had a seven-year run singing the Broadway and national tour of Hello, Dolly starring Carol Channing. She has performed in a wide range of venues, from musical theater to oratorio, and has toured extensively.
